For individuals who wish to volunteer at the Resource Center please call Ann

Volunteers are needed to staff the Resource Center
Volunteers are needed to join the Mentoring program. Full Training is available.
Mentors work directly with homeless individuals providing a full range of support
and links to needed resources.
A specialized volunteer program exists to train individuals to offer task specific
support to the case managers and mentors. They are not required to have
contact with homeless individuals and have no specific work schedule.
Examples of this support work are providing: A) Specialized, in depth
knowledge of service and program providers such as Supplemental Security
Income (SSI), Medical Services Initiative (MSI), County Mental Health Programs,
and detoxification and rehabilitation facilities. This support information includes
enrollment and acceptance parameters, operational locations and hours, costs,
contacts, capabilities, and other information that would be required by a case
manager or mentor to quickly gain access to these programs for homeless
individuals. B) Jobs availability lists. C) Emergency, transitional and permanent
housing locations, capabilities and access information. D) Services and support
parameters for professionals in the community who would offer legal, dental,
medical or other services.
